How the catalogue grows

The catalogue already covers a large share of the machines sold in Europe, but no list like this is ever complete: makers release new models, offer new optional sources, and some materials stay niche before becoming common.

That is what this page is for. You state what is missing — a machine, a different power source on an existing model, or a material — and the request becomes visible. The more precise the request (brand, exact model, source power and wavelength, available material thicknesses), the faster it can be added.

Every addition is checked by hand before publication: a source wrongly declared compatible with a material would lead other makers to waste stock, or worse, to run a dangerous material. That is why the catalogue is not open to free editing.

Answering an existing request — by publishing the first setting for a freshly added machine, for instance — earns points in the monthly ranking. It is often the fastest way to make the site useful to owners of a machine that is still poorly documented.
