Why this test programme exists

LaserSettings is first of all a website, usable from any browser. The Android app carries the same content, but installed on the phone: it opens full screen, launches from the home screen and stays usable in the workshop even on a poor connection, which matters when your hands are busy in front of a machine.

To publish an app, Google requires new developer accounts to run a closed test: at least twelve people must install the app and keep it for fourteen consecutive days. It cannot be skipped, and it is the only thing standing between the app and the Play Store today.

Being a tester requires no technical skill. You leave your Gmail address, receive an invitation link, accept it, install the app and keep it on your phone. No report to write, no payment, no card details. If you spot a bug or a questionable setting value, a single message is enough — and it is the most useful thing you can do.

In exchange, full Premium access is free for the whole test: every numeric setting value, for the twenty-seven brands and eighty-three machines in the catalogue, plus the thirty-nine material guides. Simply create your account with the same address you enter here and Premium activates automatically.

A last word on safety, since it is the core subject of the site: a setting found here is a starting point, never a guarantee. Always test on a scrap, work with fume extraction and never leave a machine running unattended.
